Colin Powell Petition

Dear General Powell,

Our nation is on the verge of bankruptcy. A lack of regulation in the banking sector and ill-advised spending by our past leadership has led us to the precipice of total collapse. Our nations debt will lose it's AAA rating in the coming years if president Obama is allowed to continue to lead us down a path of total ruin.

Hard choices must be made as we try and grasp the magnitude of our beloved nation's current debt ($12 Trillion) and forecasted shortfalls in social programs ($23 Trillion).

We understand that dark days are ahead of us. Furthermore, we understand that great sacrifices will need to be made by way of a diminished standard of living for all Americans.

The new global economy with all it's efficiencies is no place for a debt ridden country with poorly educated and trained citizenry that constantly demand more than their tax dollars could possibly pay for.

 We want to be a financially healthy country again, a country that spends within it's means. We want to be respected on the world stage and be seen as a bright beacon whose light shall never be dimmed again.

General Powell, what we need is you, a man of great stature, vision and proven leadership. You are uniquely qualified like no other.

We ask you to lead us. We ask this for the ancestors of our great founding fathers: our children.
